Alex was the only one that didn't get any-and he was lucky. We get two feet from where we got the ice cream & it immediately starts to melt. It wasn't even that hot outside! I ended up with ice cream all over my face, shirt, legs, feet....While Nanny's ice cream started dripping out of the bottom of her cone & getting all over her dress & the arm of her wheel chair. While this was happening to Nanny, I was quickly finding a trash can to throw my melting mess away...& Karen was trying to help Nanny from getting ice cream all over the place. In the process of that she ended up dropping her whole huge ice cream cone on the boardwalk. It was such a hilarious disaster!
After about 5 minutes...we ended up scurrying over to one of those little showers next to the beach & tried washing all the ice cream off. Then this guy walks up to us with handfuls of paper towels & says "I've been watching y'all and it looks like y'all could use these."....Needless to say I'm sure we gave everyone on the boardwalk a hilarious show.
We walked back to the hotel & all took showers. And it was so nice to be able to go and sit on the balcony & relax..
The next day we spent the late morning/afternoon out on the beach. Getting tan & playing in the water!
After getting tan - & burned...we all showered & went to Broadway at The Beach to eat at Margaritaville.

We ended up overstuffing ourselves on the HUGE pile of nachos we got for an appetizer...that we ended up saving our leftovers for lunch the next day.
By the time we got back to the hotel...I went to take my makeup off. I look in the mirror & think "Man, I put on wayyy too much pink blush." Then when I began scrubbing, I realized that it wasn't coming off & I was actually sun burned. I looked similar to a clown.
And these Starbucks Mocha frappuccino chilled drink are delicious. And waking up in the morning...sitting on the balcony & drinking this was such a great way to start off the morning.
Alex & I ended up going to the beach that morning - a bit before Nanny & Karen came down to join us. We spent the day looking for sea shells, avoiding getting stung by jellyfish, & jumping waves!
We were keeping close track of the storm that was coming...and around 3:30 we decided to get everything together and head back in the hotel because according to the radar the storm would be there very soon.
Sure enough, by the time we got back inside it began storming. It was very nice & relaxing to go on the balcony & watch the ocean while it rained. And it was the perfect time for Alex & me to take a nap!
A little while later we woke up...it stormed for about another hour & then the sun came back out. That night we ended up spending the night ordering some yummy pizza, chicken bites, & a brownie pan!
And here we are on our last night...
The next day before we left we took some pictures on the balcony.
